About Our Foundation
San Benito Health Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) 330 HRSA Grantee with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status.
Established in 1975, SBHF was created to fulfill the healthcare needs of the community in the San Benito County area. Our center has been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).
SBHF is governed by a community-based Board of Directors. These individuals live within the community and represent local businesses, government, civic and community organizations. The health center employ’s professionally trained staff in a multi disciplinary community health center setting. The main facility is located at 351 Felice Dr. Hollister, CA 95023. SBHF has a satellite clinic located at San Juan Bautista Windmill Market shopping center 301 The Alameda Suite K San Juan Bautista, CA 95045, and a mobile health center. The Centers provide Medical, Dental, Vision and Ophthalmology services provided by Board Certified Ophthalmologist, Women Infant and Children (WIC Program) and other multi-disciplinary services. The mobile health center engages in educational outreach, screening and service health care delivery activities throughout the San Benito County to serve as a venue for health care entry and early access to care for the community.
Goals of the Foundation:
- Serve as a safety net provider of health services, offering quality care for all people regardless of their ability to pay.
- Improve relationships with other health care providers and government agencies through collaboration and joint efforts.
- Improve the accessibility of health care to underserved populations.
- Promote and maintain awareness of the foundation’s value within the community.
- Have the foundation recognized as an asset by the patients we serve, our employees and the communities in which we operate.
- Operate the business of the foundation in a fiscally responsible manner, adhering to generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements of the government agencies with which we collaborate.
